From Helen Chalmers, in Glasgow:
Start your weekend with something fun, refreshing, social and enriching at the Glasgow Buddhist Centre. The Alternative Friday Night is fortnightly: every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month, 7:30pm. An evening of good company, open conversation, a short meditation and plenty cups of tea.
We’ve had a few new people come along and whilst it’s early days we really feel there’s a growing sense of a young community at Glasgow. Ruth and Abi have also joined us all the way from Dhanakosa - which is a lovely connection. It’s wonderful to have our own space at the centre to build friendship and support one another in our practice and our wider lives. Loads of fun too, highlight of my week!
Alongside this we’re arranging sporadic socials, like trips to the pictures, dinners at our homes and hill-walks.
