The Moon and Flowers brings together essays by 19 women who have been ordained within the Triratna Buddhist tradition, on topics ranging from feminism, motherhood and sexuality. The book was originally published in 1997, but it has been out of print for a number of years. We are delighted to be re-launching the book in DRM-free eBook format so that a new generation can take courage and inspiration from its pages.
Kalyanavaca, the editor of The Moon and Flowers, has written an article telling the story of how the book came to be published, and she also interviewed two contributors to the book, Dhammadinna and Muditasri, almost 20 years after they wrote their original essays.
