Celebrating Dhardo Rimpoche
Led by Viriyagita
January 19, 2014, 11:30-4 pm
Join Viriyagita for a devotional day retreat celebrating Dhardo Rimpoche, one of the eight spiritual teachers of Sangharakshita, the founder of the Triratna Buddhist Order. Dhardo was considered by Sangharakshita and many others to be a living Bodhisattva, one who strives for Enlightenment for the sake of all sentient beings. Many people involved in the Triratna Buddhist Community feel a special connection to him and some have met him, either personally or in meditation.
Dhardo Rinpoche died in 1990. Thanks to the efforts of Bodhilocana we are now in possession of some of his ashes in the form of tsa-tsas, waiting to be placed within a stupa to be built in his honor at Aryaloka in Newmarket, NH in 2014.
This day retreat is offered by donation: $50-$25 suggested. Please register for this event: portsmouth [at] thebuddhistcenter [dot] com
