On Saturday November 21st many of the Triratna Centres and practice groups participating in the Urban Retreat will stop what they are doing around 4pm and take part in a metta wave- a wave of Metta Bhavana (Development of Loving Kindness meditation rolling around the planet. It will start in Australia and will spread across the globe over the course of the day: crossing Europe, reaching the East Coast of the USA, and finally ending in Seattle and San Francisco.
Keeping the Metta Wave going
We also invite youto continue the metta wave throughout the week. In the metta wave section of this space we’ll be posting photos of participating Triratna sanghas, and we invite you and everybody who is taking part in this Urban Retreat 2015 to share photos of your own Urban Retreat shrine and/or rupa (Buddha figure). Once you have joined the space (click + follow above) just choose + pictures from the posting bar. If you add the tag ‘metta wave’ (without the quotes) we’ll automatically include it in the metta wave section.
