To go on retreat is to step out of our mundane life and into conditions that are conducive to nurture and grow us.
These conditions will include simplicity, peace, friendship, meditation and even silence. The Buddha’s teachings may be explicitly taught and discussed or they may be woven seamlessly into the way we live and relate to each other.
On retreat we are given the opportunity to slow down, catch up on some sleep and unravel ourselves in an extremely positive and gentle way.
On the weekend of December 4 - 6 the Coogee Meditation Group is combining with the Sydney Buddhist Centre sangha (friends) for a retreat out at our beautiful retreat centre on the banks of the Georges River.
You are all very warmly invited to come along and chill out, unravel and deepen your friendships. There will be some of our other order members co-leading the retreat and I’d love you to meet them.
This link will take you to the page on the Sydney Buddhist Centre website so that you can reserve your place.
