Nearly ten years ago I was ordained into the Triratna Budddhist Order on a four month ordination retreat in Spain. Padmadakini was ordained quite a bit prior to that on a retreat held by the women’s side of the order.
Ordination is about really putting our commitment to practising the Buddha’s teachings at the centre of our lives and doing this within the context of the Triratna Community.
This coming sunday we are opening up the Dharma study to everyone and talking about ways to get more involved within this community. You can ask questions about any aspect of it and Buddhist practice generally.
You may have heard talk about being a mitra or even attended the recent mitra ceremonies at The Sydney Buddhist Centre. This Sunday is an opportunity to really understand what our community is and what it has been created for.
