English Heritage (EH) invites you to take part in a survey of Buddhist buildings in England. It’s a good idea to put 15-20 minutes into this in case it helps influence funding policy! It’s heartening to see pictures of the London Buddhist Centre on the home page of their project blog, for starters.

The survey need only be completed once per building (although an organisation with multiple buildings can complete the survey several times.)

The person completing the survey need not be the most senior person in your Buddhist group or organisation, but they should have some knowledge of the history of the building and its current use.

The survey, by the Centre for Religion and Public Life (University of Leeds), is part of an EH research project helping EH understand the faith places of England belonging to growing religious groups. The aim of the research project is to explore the function, significance and meaning of buildings for various Buddhist communities in England, to help EH understand Buddhist faith places better, as part of understanding the practicalities of caring for historic sites. The research will be completed by September 2014.

Fill in the survey. (15-20 minutes)
